Mercantile Market Recap

Wow everyone, just wow!

I am so completely blown away by the love and encouragement I received at The Found Cottage’s Mercantile Market this past weekend. It was so amazing to meet new friends, see some old ones and share my latest creations with you all. Thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who came out and was able to stop at my booth.

First off, The Mercantile Market is one I look forward to every year. It seems to just keep getting better and better. This was my second year being a vendor and I felt much more prepared for what to expect.

Still, the amount of people always surprises me. The weather was beautiful, hot, but beautiful. Also, the market had such an incredible amount of visitors, we manage take down a cell tower on Saturday and shut down credit card capabilities. Regardless, people continued to show up and support all the small business at the Mercantile Market and I am beyond grateful.

Some of my best sellers from The Market were ghost tea light holders, flower frogs and air plant holders.

I had some things sell out too – the new miniature churches and barns and miniature Christmas trees. They are being restocked and will be available online soon.

Another one of my favorite things at this market is to walk around and see all the other vendors. Market displays and how they curate their space is fascinating to see – there are so many talented vendors! I was even able to snag some goodies of my own:

The snap cowl is from Grandma Skills and is made to perfection. It makes me a teeny bit happier for the cold Michigan days ahead.

The dahlias are grown by Tierracolibri Flowers and I was lucky enough to have her as my booth neighbor! Seriously the most gorgeous flowers and her Instagram grid is filled with the most beautiful photos of her flower garden.

Wildroast Coffee Co was another booth neighbor of mine and I’m so excited to also have their coffee at home. I’m a regular visitor at their new drive through location and their coffee and espresso drinks are the best around.

The hat.. Well, I need some help from others! I can’t remember the vendors name but I love it. It kept the sun out of my eyes during the market and it is stunning.

Again, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out on Friday and Saturday. I am beyond blessed to continue to create these products for you. I hope you all had a time of rest, relaxation, and fun this Labor Day Weekend.

And now, I need a nap (or several) to recover from the weekend madness.
